What is AthleteOS?

AthleteOS is where a gym plans and follows the training of its clients. Coaches build workouts, schedule them for their clients and follow them live. Clients see their workouts on their phone and fill in what they did, set by set.

Two apps in one

AthleteOS has two sides, each with its own sign-in.

The sign-in page has a switch between Coach and Athlete, so everyone lands on the right side.

Who can do what

There are two kinds of staff accounts.

  • Coach: works with clients, sessions, classes, workouts, exercises and the live view. Every coach sees every client of the gym.
  • Admin: everything a coach does, plus the coaches, the settings of the gym, the gym tablets, the reports and the subscription.

Your clients have their own accounts in the client app. They only ever see their own sessions and data.

TIP

The first account of a gym is an admin. Admins can give admin rights to other coaches. See Coaches and rights.

What your plan includes

Some features depend on the plan of your gym. If a menu item is missing, it's usually because your plan doesn't include it.

Words used in this guide

  • Session: One workout for one client, at a date and time. For example, "Lower Body Strength with Sarah, Tuesday at 18:00".
  • Workout: A reusable training plan: a list of exercises with their targets. You schedule the same workout for many clients.
  • Exercise: A movement in your library, like "Back Squat", with how its sets are recorded: reps, weight, time or distance.
  • Class: A group event, like a Yoga class, that several clients register to.
  • Booking period: The hours when clients can book a session themselves, cut into slots.
  • Status: A short note on a client that every coach sees, like "Injured" or "Needs to pay".
